We've had music industry people in our audience all the time (publishers, music supervisors, record labels). We've even had some cool actors like Elliott Gould drop into our L.A showcase.

We're not just any songwriters organization... we are the largest international non-profit organization in the world, and have nurtured, supported and promoted songwriters and composers from their budding stages to the WORLD STAGE.

Anj Granieri, Songsalive! member, was recently signed to write for the Oprah Show! She writes "...On Friday night of this year's Rally, my life changed. I had the great honor of having a top executive from the company who provides music for the Oprah Winfrey Show come to see me perform at the open mic. After I performed "Bless America", he stood up and announced I would be signed to his company as their newest composer, and the crowd went nuts! I dropped into my seat with tears in my eyes, and felt gratitude swell in my heart. And I knew I would be working 10x harder now than ever before (so much for my old beliefs of being able to sit back once getting a deal). And you know what? Songsalive! OC Meeting with Rob Case provided them with a connection to perform at a “Thanks For Giving” event in Venice CA. The networking & connections made at Songsalive! are helping this fresh new teenage band hone their chops & get the valuable guidance they need to move forward with their music.
Happy Ron's latest album "Terribly Happy" is definitely a Songsalive! success story. After joining Songsalive! in 2007, he then participated in 2 of our
Songcamps, where we put songwriters together in small groups to write a song in just over an hour. Such a success was his songwriting team, they wrote the title track to his new album, and has
been recorded by an 18 piece big band, and released in 2008 to critical acclaim. (

From a Leukaemia event: "Thank you all SOOOOOOOOOOOO much, this is more support than I could imagine from people I don't even know. The event was a HUGE success!! We raised $600!!!!!!!!!! I am Very, Very, Very grateful. Everyone enjoyed the music so much, and there were plenty of Cd's sold too. That makes me happy. Performing Songsalive! songwriters: Deborah Crooks, Justin Winokur, Loren Davidson and me! Now you have a lot more people who know about Songsalive! All the road signs we made to guide people through the forest said "Songsalive ---->" so they saw the name 6 times before even arriving. That will stick in people's brains. And I said a few words to make sure lots of networking took place, advertising Songsalive, the Retreat, Jody's creativity workshops, and the bike ride of course. The guests were incredibly generous. “When I first attended a Songsalive! workshop I had a few notebooks full of songs I had written over the past 15 years, many of which no one had ever heard. I wasn’t doing anything with my music except singing nursery rhymes to my son. Only a few months later I have recorded my first CD “Angels in the Mud” which is receiving radio airplay across Australia, had offers from two different publishers for one of my songs and reached the semi finals of the UK songwriting competition.
